Fanny Brewster and Dwight Turner DREAM WORKSHOP
Dr Brewster's book on Dreams was published this Summer, entitled, "Race and the Unconscious: An Africanist Depth Psychology Perspective on Dreaming". Dr Dwight Turner gave a very successful Dream workshop to CJC last year, on, "Decolonising Dreams Through Psyche".

This two hour workshop will involve Dr Brewster and Dr Turner, each inviting an audience member to share a dream, and each will demonstrate their own process of dream analysis in about half an hour each. This will then be followed by a group discussion in the time remaining.
Dr Fanny Brewster's book published in July 2023, Race and the Unconscious engages the archetypal African consciousness that enriches our knowledge regarding the foundational mythopoetic of Africanist dreaming.
Featuring crucial historical context, Jungian and post-Jungian theory, clinical case studies, and dream series interpretations, the book offers readers a rich framework for exploring and understanding the language, images, and symbols of African and African American dreamlife. It expands the modern understanding of dreaming with the inclusion of Africanist perspectives, philosophy, and mythology while emphasizing the potential for and process of psychological healing through dreamwork.
